My Thoughts On Bullying

When I was in middle school, I witnessed someone getting bullied. It was not a physical attack, but a verbal one. At this time of my life, I was extremely shy and according to many other people: very nice. I watched in the sideline as this innocent kid was being bullied, however, I didn't move to say anything. I eventually walked away and didn't think about it for the rest of the day. A while later i began to regret my actions. To this day I still regret not speaking up for someone that looked like they needed help, or even a friend. There are many people who don't stand up for victims of bullying, yet they feel such sympathy for the person. I began to question myself: was I really nice like everyone else thought? If so, why didn't i move to help someone? That's the point though, it doesn't matter how kind someone is. Some people just can't find the courage to stand up for others and I believe that maybe that is why bullying hasn't been completely put at halt.
